Wells fargo's current rates are: Auto Loan Refinance4.12%New Auto Purchase (Dealer)2.99%Used Auto Purchase (Dealer)4.39%Used Auto Purchase (Private Party)5.73% BB&T is showing the same rates now. If you bought your car before June of this year then you would have a much lower rate. Remember the rates went up in June 2013 a full % point. Including home loans. USAA usually is the lowest of all the banks for auto loans.. unless you get a special rate through Chevy. I've only bought 1 car out of 20 where the dealer was able to beat the rate from USAA, which was a special 2% for 6 years from Toyota a year ago. Did you get this rate through Chevy? If so that means the special financing did apply to the ZL1, which is good news.

....great response sporto, hey! Don't let economics get in the way of what you want. Retirement planning is highly over rated.

No I didn't get any special financing through Chevrolet or GM, especially not on a Jeep. And you can't go by published rates on the Internet, you have to let the finance manager run your credit and shop your deal. If your beacon score is north of 720, simply tell the dealer your deal is predicated on a rate below 1.4 or 1.3. They can get it done, again if you're 720+. PenFed runs deals all the time on refi's as well for 60mos.@1.49% if your car is less than 2 yrs old. Seriously NO reason to pay more than 1.5%.

$755.00 a month with $14,000.00 down payment. Higher than the $500.00 I was aiming for but things didn't work out where I could put $30,000.00 down. Oh well, worth every penny.
