Yes, me and a friend did mine in my garage in Sept. 2010. Now have 35K miles on the S/C.

Yep, but you'll need help setting on top of the engine. Kinda heavy for one person.

I've done a few, I would strongly recommend a 2nd person help you. Not my favorite to install.

Did mine myself. Backyard mechanic at best. You can use a 2x4 as a ramp to slide the unit into position if your by yourself, that's what I did. Just set one end on the rear most part of the engine, let the other end rest on the top of the radiator shroud, place the SC on the ramp and slide it down into place. Other than that, the directions were spot on. With the money you save on the install, you can spend it on a tune.

1st off do not buy that blower if you ever have dreams of making serious power! I though 4 years ago Holly crap my car has 434 hp (old 96 Z28 had 285) all i need to do just slap on this blower and I can make 600hp easy. God dang it 600rwhp is crap in my area actually abt 630 now! 505 to 530RWHP with stock eforce and good CAI and headers no cats.

That being said its fit and finish and reliability is excellent, A lot of people in club have maggies or others make more power but constantly having little issues with belts or shafts ect..

Hell the chicks on all girl garage can do it, You should be able to! The manual is online in PDF look over it and see if you can. if your car has a lot miles I suggest using new o rings on the intake instead of reusing as direction say to..

I called eldelbrock and kinda complained about the blower not making a lot of power and wish that I had know the difference or wished there was label on it that it maxed out at a certain power level.. Eldelbrock told me They designed this kit mainly to be 50 state legal, not tear up your motor, have a good quality look (like factory) and be reliable as hell. They definitely did this..

FYI it has no whine to it with the 3.50 pulley but move down to the 3 or 2.75 and she come alive!

Good luck with install!

Thanks for all the replies. I have my son for help if he can get some time off work. I'm 66 yrs old and still CAR CRAZY. I restored two corvettes body off, complete restoration. I bought a 2011 Camaro SS RS V-8 Senergy Green off of my son, love the car, I would just like to have a little more HP. Hope to do it this winter.

I was 75 years old when me and my buddy installed my E-Force. I was 74 when I bought my SS and installed the Hurst shifter myself. I've done all the work on my SS myself except the vinyl strips and the tune.
