Heater core lines

Ok stupid quick question. I'm planning a swap of those ugly hoses that go up over the head and intake with a zl1 version. My question is do I have to drain the radiator or will it be ok to just pull the lines and lose what's in the hoses.

Don't know for sure but recall seeing DYI on it. Might try search on this forum. It is in the DYI section hearer hose relocation, believe caverman posted it.

I did't when I did my 2010 SS, but I used the 2011 SS set up and not the ZL1 set up.

You'll lose about a gallon of anti-freeze. Take off the old hose at the heater core end first and let the coolant drain into a bucket.

Drained from radiator into clean container. Needed to cut hoses. Would not slide off of heater core.
