Wow,
I'm not an audio guy but I can appreciate this... How much did that dynamat stuff cost by the foot and how much did you end up using? It must sound really nice in there.

I used about 250 sq ft... cost me roughly $300... the ensolite was a little more pricey - 15 sq yards (135 sq ft) was about the same price ($300)

Do you find that the dynamite makes a huge difference in keeping your car quieter, or not too much? Talking about road noise (aka without that badass system going) inside the cabin. I'm throwing in a JL amp, sub, and speakers next weekend and want to know if its worth the money and hassle.

Lookin' good, BumbleBee!
You'd be surprised what a difference a proper sub makes. It goes a LOT lower, and more cleanly, than just turning up the bass on a smaller speaker. Especially if you take the bass a sub is doing away from the main speakers, bass notes (kick drums & tympanis; bass guitar, stand up bass, other large strings; low piano and keyboard notes; etc) sound much cleaner and more detailed. Turning up the bass gives a boomy feel, and your speakers bottom out at a lower overall volume. |
