1 st race at the track

well i got to go to my first race today at the track, made 3 passes ,12.7,12.9 and 12.3.stock oem tires and i spin at throttle until 3 rd when i can start laying it to it,120 mph top speed,2.38 60 ft time.i know i got some practicing to do.NEED TIRES BADLY.pulled a decent.038 reaction time on one run.going tommorrow and going to try starting off in second, maybe that will help untill i get some different rubber.okay million dollar question,if i start looking for corvette rims, will the 18 inch fit over my calipers(ss)i have not really followed this to closely as i didnt need it up until now.have lots of power and need to hook up ,will drag radials on 18 inch rims be enough for this, sure spins alot and im only pushing 6 to 7 pounds boost, should have pulley for 9 or 10 next week, looking for feed back thanx

For the Corvette rims the 18X9.5 +40mm offset and the 18X10.5 + 53mm offset are what will fit over the brembo's.

The Hoosier qtp I just googled ,I would love to try that but the largest rim size I see that they will fit on is 16 s unless I read wrong. In order to put that small of rim on I believe we have to modify back brake system(smaller rotor and caliper

Checked out corvette replica wheels and they list 58 mm and 56 mm offset not the 53 that they call for. Anybody deal with this

There are Bogarts and Welds that are 17" that will fit over the Brembo's. Granted, you do have to drop a pretty penny on them as well.

I believe the 18X10.5 +53mm are the rear rims off of a C5 Corvette Z06.
