1000 RWHP Club

The builds are getting absolutely insane here on C5, and I'd like to start a thread for the 1000 RWHP club. Numbers must be to the wheel, and you'll need to post your dyno sheet for verification. I'll keep the list up to date on the first post (similar to the official 1/4 mile thread).

Please also list as much information as you can.

Engine
Power Adders
Transmission
Rear End
Gears
Weight

Are you really going to make me throw a 300 shot through the motor for one dyno pull :(.

If you throw a 300 shot on, you better use it for more than one dyno pull.

Depends on what "soon" means. I hope to have it on here by late May or June, but that all depends on the dyno pulls.

1000 to the wheel is a bit out of reach for most of these cars...mine included....any 4L80 conversion is going to be in for a rude awakening when they hit the dyno for the first time.

I would agree, but I didn't see much drop off on my 4L80 swap.

I dropped 25 or so to start out with. I made up for it.

I agree the 4L80 does eat up some rwhp. I think the 9" kit will do that too. It'll be tough to make it to that magical 1000 rwhp number, especially on a loaded dyno.

It'll be an interesting list, but there are definitely ways to get there.

My builder's car is an LSX 468 with a 500 shot. It makes 1020.

My friend's twin turbo LSX 427 just made 1005 on pump gas. His direct port is now done and should be getting tuned soon.

My car is at 725 with the LSX 427 and Whipple on a 3" pulley through my 4L80. Just switched to a 2.8", and the direct port nitrous system is going in. Should be able to get there.

You had to be an A6 car before......because a 4L80 is going to drop way more than 25 from an M6....at least that's the impression I am under from everything I have read. I hope not...but planning for the worst.

I'm seriously hoping to be there within a month or two... My trans should be delivered this week... TR 6060 with lots of mods and built for racing, with the internal shifter mechanism... Minimal loss through the trans...

If my current fuel set-up wont get me there or dang close, I'll be changing it our for something that will, and then throwing a 200-250 nitrous shot on top of that...
