Phantom.5's Ghost-Rider
Welcome to my build thread. Slowly but surely mods are getting done.
My car is a one of one according to the folks at GM so I decided that all the mods have to be done in such a way that the car can always be put back to bone stock. I also want to design and fabricate as much as possible, the rest will be total bolt ons. Here we go!!!!! One of the first mods is tricking out some bling pieces. The R+D center I work at has some neat equipment so I employed part of that in the build. I Blue anodized some medium thickness aluminum, from there I set up the engraving machine in our sign shop and taught myself to use it. I created the logos and designs for the center console, the build tag, the engine cover pieces and brake booster cap. The booster cap was a Mr. Gasket part that was scratched when I bought it. I sandblasted it and engraved a new design on it. The Engine cover I routered out and replaced with aircraft grade lexan (heat concerns). I returned to our sign shop and I etched the camaro design into it for back lighting. Blue leds handle the mood lighting.

Heres some pics of my engraver doing its thing.
The hardest part is the set up in the program, have to be part graphic artist and part IT Tech.

Did the exhaust a while back, waited to see if I was going to like it, had to get rid of the AFM so it didnt sound like crud on the highway.
Apologeese for my excitable friend. There are a host of pics I took with write ups under them when selected, I wont put up each one here but go to this link for the details. http://s38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...t%20BLUE-BOOK/ Hope these help others. Streetsideauto.com gave me the best price and service.

Finished the ABS and Brake Booster covers.
Fabricated it in my shop at work Painted and ready for airbrush The finished product with Ghost-Rider on the top and Mephostopholees (played by Peter Fonda) on the front. (Trivia: Peter Fonda signed my 72 Polara CopCar, he drove one in the movie "Dirty Mary Crazy Larry" during a stunt scene....said he remembered the cars well)

Almost forgot, the interior LEDS are done, I wired them to the dome circut so they dim with the dome light.

I started on the Revolutions Styling reverse hood hinge today, I bought a spare radiator filler support because it has to be modified with notches (Remember the car has to be able to go stock at any time).
This also allows me to paint it ABM to match the car and will save time when I go to swap everything over. Dean and Tommy at Revolution produce a very professional kit, the hardware is excellent quality and the metal assemblies are BEEFY! I skipped thru the directions which use "Real-Time" photos so there is no guessing. SANDBLASTED PRIMED

looking good so far. Question though, what do you mean your car is one of one? Besides the obvious that it's the only one of it's kind. I just mean like, what is different about her that makes her so unique (besides being ABM).
