I have the factory flat black stripes and they're fine for now but getting the glossy long stripes painted on when I save up the dough.

Local body shop quoted me $1,200. Seems fair.

BTW, since no one's asked...are you contemplating something different than the "bumblebee" look? Color? Glossy or matte? Painted or vinyl?

This is what I paid, and if done in the same meticulous manner, it's more than fair considering the work involved.

Here's a link to my custom paint project for details:

Thanks, I've studied your install. I've poured over various pictures of the Bumlebee stripes and I'm going to use yours as a guide. Very nice indeed.

If I go with a stripe I will go with the "Bumble Bee" look. Still wondering what to do. Thoughts provided so far is helping... I will keep you posted.

Thanks GTO, good luck with your project. Be sure to look at my dimensions again; I have since edited the post due to several PM's asking for clarification on measurements. If you have any further questions, shoot me a PM. I'll be happy to help.

RumbleBeeSS,

I love what you did with your car! Visited the thread and read everything. This will be a great resouce when I decide to pull the trigger and have it done. I will certainly get the Vent Highlight kit you purchased. This is the best I have seen. Thank you so much for sharing

Thanks again and I'm probably going to do this sooner than later so I may have some questions.

Too funny! I actually passed the idea by my wife and she's not too keen about it.

As far as completing the package goes, we tinted the windows and are now deciding on a cat-back exhaust system. The three systems in contention are made by Borla, Corsa, and SLP. Some time in the future we'll include a cold air intake and supercharger (brands pending).

You bet, helping others was the intent of that post...and thanks for the compliments. I was pretty pleased how it turned out for my wife, she really loves her car; ...can't say I blame her.

Interesting, I've been looking at all the options for an exhaust although the choices for the v6 lag behind somewhat. I keep going back to NOWEEDS diverter http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...light=diverter

Seems to eliminate alot of hardware while giving choice of exhaust tone and added performance. I may be missing something but this looks what I'll go with for my 6 banger, Little "B"

I entertained the idea of going with that same diverter, but potential problems that may arise relating to emissions and noise keep me from choosing that path. I'm sure it's a great product, just not for me. If I were twenty years younger though, I'd probably be all over a diverter.
