Plate the area under the engine with thin aluminum. Might clear up some wind drag on the top end. I have seen some road racers doing this. They may be looking for downforce but might help in the 1/4 as well.

Tbh, i think its actually not that hard.
For example. For a auto, all you need is this: -vararam -longtube headers -Weight savings ala next axelback, catback, and wherever else possible -a 3200 stall converter from a performance shop, not RX -a dyno tune like mine, (eg. LMR) -ported TB -DRAG RADIALS!!!!! -DA under 1500 (Temp under 82 as well) I have a friend who has a custom stall converter for 800$ then plus install to 1300$ issh and he dropped .5 seconds off the quarter mile without drag radials. Look at my times for example on LS tires with 1LT rims. I hit high 13s all day, drop .4 to .5 with a good stall converter and then add drag radials to it. 12.99999 should be attainable. 13.1 to 13.2 should be easy then all we need is good DA and bingo. Thats it. Add nitrous to that equation and we are a mid 11 sec car. Add a custom turbo from most any true performance shop, we can be mid 12 sec. All this is if people take the time to do it right and take the time to want to figure out a safe reliable tune. its possible...just cause its binary dont mean nothing. just takes a smart guy to want it

Planning on making some passes at the next Test and Tune on Oct. 27th, ugh so far away!
Edit: I also could always just go one weekend to the Summit E.T series for bracket racing but 1. I prob won't do good and 2. May be a little hard to get a decent amount of runs in. |

You don't have to do your best in bracket racing. You just have to be the most consistent

Following this thread... I'll be fairly happy when I get down to a mid 13, but to break into the 12s NA would be sweet.

Is our A6 differential compatible with 7.5 inch rear end equipment? I think our rear end is 190mm and that is 7.48 inches. Don't know if the car would like Ford racing gears (3.73's) and an Auburn LSD in it though. The LSD is 28 spline.

Speaking of high out put NA, I'm really looking forward to see an ITB setup for the LLT bet it would sound Monstrous.

I just saw this thread and i'll chime in a bit. To run a 12.99 with a V-6 you'll need to get a few things as perfect as you possibly can. The first thing is the weather. You'll want to get the DA as low as possible, and being in NY (i'm from western, NY), the tracks always close way too early for us to take advantage of the great air. Me and some friends head out to Cecil dragway in Maryland in November looking for personal bests. You'll run .2-.3 quicker there than you will in NY in the fall. The tracks elevation is 300ft above and the air can typically be 40-55 degrees, which will net you DA from as high as 500ft to as low as -1500ft. Sometimes lower if the conditions are ripe. The second thing is the gearing. To go 12.99 you'll be running roughly 103-104mph. You'll want to gear it so that it is near peak rpm in 1:1 at that mph. A rear axle ratio swap will most likely be mandantory, but you can also tweak it with slightly smaller tires, but I don't know what size rims you can fit with V-6 rear brakes.
