I think the easiest way would be swap in an v6 m6 rear, it's the same size as the SS cars IIRC. Then go for gear changes. 4.10s would be awesome, and I think they are made for the SS.

Of course, half shafts would be next, lol.

I think the ratios are the same as the SS but the cases (and carrier) is different. I'm not so sure the aftermarket gears would work. But, if you had the 3.56 gear with the auto, would you really need a 4.10?

Half shafts probably wouldn't become an issue till you exceeded 450hp I would think...

I thought the m6 was the same case as the SS? Same size ring/ pinon gear? I also thought the v6 m6 guys got the same ratio as the a6 v6 guys, 3.27.

I would like to find a m6 v6 centersection and swap it in, especially if it had the 3.56s. Would definitely make a difference. 4.10s, or even 3.73s, would be better, but I could live with 3.56s. Would level the playing field with the 11 Mustang v6 with Perfromance package some too,,lol!!!!

Lts and SSs are on different platforms. Carrier, axles, cases, and bearings should be different though I don't know that for sure.

It's a limited slip... not a locker or spool... so in fact given the right circumstance you can still get a one wheel peel... of course depending on how many burnouts you've done, perhaps you've already burned up the clutches... (assuming it's a clutch based, not gear based LSD).

4.10s in this car would be friggin' GREAT! That being said, doubt I would do it any time soon... too expensive and if you go with a power adder later may not want that kind of gearing...

ive done 2 burnouts. i kinda lost all hope on the car after i did the second one. i was at the track and my fiance told me only one spun. after reading everything on manuals having same rear as SS and limited slip..that is 2nd main reason why i got it.
