If you buy new tires for your SS in Taxachusetts, you will pay $113.00 in sales tax. We can get away with buying our tires in New Hampshire, but not our cars.
Joy!! Things I get to look forward to in the next few weeks when I buy my SS. Ugh I live here why?

Why are so many waiting until it's paid off to mod it? I understand if it's due to lack of funds because you have a car payment, but I wondered if there were other reasons.

I got mine in January. I have been modding it quite a bit. I think it will likely be sold at my estate sale.

My 11 year-old son has already put in a claim for mine, (I've had it less than a week). I'm not sure what the future holds but I have my doubts that V8 engines will still be in existance five years from now. More than likely, down the road, the Government will begin taxing the crap out of anyone that still owns a V8.

SUPRBAD will be given to my Daughter when she starts driving in 2015.

Then, I get a Corvette.

I'll keep mine forever. It's the first and prob only brand new car I've ever bought. It just isn't smart to buy a new car just to trade or sell at huge loss 4 or 5 years later.

My first Camaro was a '69 that I sold a few years back. Regretted it ever since. This one will go to my son in 2014 when he turns 16. At that time I will buy a convertible.(if not before)

The only reasons I would EVER sell my car:

financial hardship
serious medical situation

Short of that, I will never sell this car. I will be driving it when I'm way too old to be driving.

I hope some people get rid of them after only a year...maybe I'll be able to pick up a low milage used one for less than a new one that I get employee pricing on.

A lot of that reason is typically, the warranty is over by then. So, most mods are all Pay to Play - it's out of your wallet at that point - unless you got an extended warranty!
