Got A Vararam for $10! (Warning long read)

So here is the story. I joined the H-Town Camaro Club a few weeks back and the first car show I was going to be in was the Kemah Boardwalk Inaugural Show April 25. The morning of the 25th I wake up to check their website to check on any updates for the show and saw they were raffling off a Vararam Air intake. I immediately knew that was the item I was going to be buying tickets for since a intake was the first mod I was going to do on my Camaro.

Fast forward a little bit I'm at the show have the car parked and everything is all set up with the rest of the Camaro's that registered. My gf was with me btw, so we went walking around taking pics of all the cars and talking to a lot of people there and asking questions about their mods. It was definitely a great group of guys everyone was really friendly and willing to answer any of my questions. Surprisingly enough nobody brought up my age and owning a 5th gen Camaro which I was ok with since I'm pretty sure I am the youngest one in the club.

Alright so after I'm done taking pics of a lot of the cars I go ahead and buy tickets for the raffle which I went ahead and paid $10 for 12 tickets which I thought was a good enough chance to win the Vararam. This is what I did, when I first purchased the tickets I put only 6 of them in there, then later on in the day around 3:45 we go back to the main area where the raffles are and I drop my other 6 tickets in the container of raffles.

Around 4 they go ahead and begin the drawing and decide they are going to do the Vararam first which was the biggest prize there! My heart starts beating fast and as they called the last 3 digits of the ticket, I grow a huge smile on my face making sure i wasn't delusional and begin my walk/run towards the stage When I get up there guys from the club were all clapping for me and smiling knowing that I wanted the intake and seemed to be happy I won. I go pick up my Vararam from the tent of raffles and immediately walk to my Camaro and put it in the trunk, roll up my windows and lock my car haha since its worth over $350.

That was the highlight of my day winning the Vararam for only $10 which was well worth it. Thanks again to everyone from the club who made it a really awesome event and gave me the chance to win the intake. And of course here are pics of the intake once I got home. Won't be able to install for a week or so as I have finals coming up from school.

So is the the Vararam that needs a tune? That is an important point.

Hmmm that's a good question. I'm gonna have to get in contact with some people from the club and be sure to ask them that question. I know without a tune its known to have some bucking.
