Fuel Range
So what kind of fuel range do you get with your Camaro? Best I have seen was a couple months ago I saw 570 miles, but had no camera at the time.

I average around 400 miles/tank commuting. But I could go farther, since when I fill up it only takes a bit over 16 gallons.

The most mine ever said was a little over 500miles and that was when I filled up down in Indy, reset the MPG for the trip averaged 29.7.
One thing that boggles my mind is very rarely I drive my car till the "Low Fuel System" message appears and when I fill up it only takes like 15-16 gallons. I thought we had a 19 gallon tank? |

I believe the idiot light comes on around 2 - 3 gallons to left in the tank. I may have only seen it once in 55K miles. I normally fill up around 350 - 400 miles. Today it happened to show fuel range of over 500, so I thought I would post it up for some conversation.
On another topic, I left for work even earlier than normal (before 4 am) so I drove in at 65MPH for the 25+ miles on the highway. Reset the MPG and was averaging 34.7 MPG. Got to love it. Who needs a cobalt when you can have more fun in a Camaro.

500+ miles.....HOLY CRAP!!! Never in the 3 years I had the car did it say that, most I ever got was 400 or something, and thats when I was driving to Philadelphia from CLT. I also tend to drive at 80 mph all the time, so I guess that will do it

Funny, I am thinking just the opposite, here's my logic. My best MPG is when it is warm. We all no winter fuel is worse for fuel economy, that is a given. However, when it is cool out the air is more dense, meaning more fuel can be sent into the system, better performance for sure. Worse MPG thou. When warmer out the air is less dense, less fuel required for the same burn, better MPG, but less performance. Make sense or am I thinking outside the box again.

Yep, that will do it. Only time I see this good of numbers is when commuting to work back and forth, nothing else and taking it easy on the way home. Easy in the morning is the simple part, at 4 am there is no one on the road and too much risk to get caught speeding.

i never see more than about 430, and I average 23.5 mpg currently. I can usually get about 5 days per tank on my 80 mile round trip commute

I would love to see 500+ miles when I fill up. I usually see around 350. Between city driving and my 20 mile commute to work I usually avg 19 mpg on a tank of gas. For a V6 I thought I would be getting better mpg. Makes me wonder how some V6's are able to post these numbers and my V6 does not?
