Time for new brake pads! Need advice...

My original factory ZL1 brake pads are ready to be replaced. The car sees occasional HPDE events several times a year. The factory pads worked well for me, the do make a lot of dust but whatever, that's not a big deal.
My question is does anyone have experience with aftermarket pads and what were your impressions, especially at the track... trying to decide if I'm going with stock pads again or something better if that exists!
Thanks in advance...

G-Loc is what I run... R-8 compound, better braking than OEM for track, but they are dustier for street. So depends on how many HPDE events you do IMO.

They are very friendly to rotors.

Best regards,
Dave

If you want a serious track pad, these Ferodo DS 1.11s are one of the most heavy duty and have great initial bite. They may generate a lot of heat, which could discolor calipers over time, but they will stop your ZL1 in the shortest distance possible. They are expensive.

I run these or OEM depending on the track.

DTC 70 for track use is great and probably the most “inexpensive” amongst its class

Aweomse thank you
Any particular reasons why you would run factory pads vs these?

Only concerns about rotor wear and need to switch them back and forth, these are great with very high speed tracks. With other slower tracks the OEM pads are so good I might not bother.
