I am really hoping we see some 3.73 gears like are on the manual transmission CTS-V and that those gears become an option on the Camaro SS.

Hmmm.......why not an option for 4.11s with some traction control? Who's really going to go 170 MPH on the road anyway? We might as well get to 65 or 70 as fast as possible rather than stating that "IF" we wanted to, we could go 170 MPH. It would be a cool option to have.

Yeah that is going to be the big question. If it is a 50K car, I would of had two 1/2 years of my car paid for and I good do alot of upgrades for less than trading in and paying the extra. Probably be quicker than a Z28 when done also.

thats not the point. you can take a cobalt and make it faster if you want. The point is that it is a z/28.

not to worry...a Z28 w/ 3.73's or even 4.10's will have PLENTY of top end.

3.73's yes, 4.10's. . .not enough.

definately not 3.23's I want to get to top end some time today. . .lol. but still I want to eventually get a Z28 over there and topped out above 190.

5.30s

I'm hoping for 3.73s, at least. I really don't see GM going higher than that, if even that high :( The higher, numerically, the less strength, so I think that's a fair ratio, IMVHO.

I think traction would be more of an issue. 3.73's is probably a nice ratio. The Trailblazer SS came with 4.10's and doesnt have any strength issues.
