Pfadts springs won't settle. Just install the springs, loosen up all the bushings and let them retime themselves, then align.

Your car looks good! I had my springs installed/bushings retimed and alignment done at the same time. After a couple hundred miles i had the alignment checked again just to be on the safe side since i just installed my new wheels/tires.

Entaille, very sorry I missed this on the forums. Car looks fantastic! Thanks for giving it a proper lowering! Let us know if you have any questions or anything, we are here to help. I recommend to get it aligned soon after spring installation.

Is it absolutly necessary to retime the bushings after installing drop springs? A member commented on another thread that he had conversations with pfadt that they said not necessary! Maybe Pfadt can clearify! Thanks!

I asked Hotchkis about it when they installed mine. They said not needed if install done correctly(?) Alot of things are loosened up and un bolted anyway and just as long as it is all done with the cars weight on the componants when all bolted back up ,then driven around after to check to see if o.k., should be good. Mine didn't have it done to the extent that is talked about that I know of and it rides fine, reacts to inputs about what I expected and the suspension movements and shock control of the springs is fluid and not binding up or anything.

It is important to understand what timing the bushings would do. If you have the time and dedication to do this, then by all means do it. But the point to make is that the actual angular change in the control arm bushings is minimal at most, on very soft rubber. The amount of "spring rate" that this would add/detract is so very small, that it is insignificant in the overall picture of the wheel rate.

If you are experiencing poor ride quality and suspect this is the source, it is a great idea to do it. Honestly, it is the "correct" way to do it. But the amount of "spring rate" you would add to the suspension is identical to the amount experienced at 1.25" bump on the the OE springs.

A lot of people have no problem taking the time to do the easily accessed bushings, and skip the hard ones (rear upper control arm for example). Again, this is not mandatory, but isn't a horrible idea at all.

Reading some materials that others posted that the PFADT springs have more coils than other brands and with that difference the ride is much easier than other brands. I want to install a set of 1" front and 1"4 rears. Any suggestions for my 2010 Synergy...with the factory 19 inch wheel which I have already changed I want to give my car a different stance than most others in this area...any one comment on if these springs are really different from others?
