Good exhaust shop in/near Dublin/San Ramon???

Hey everyone, im looking to find a good shop thats not going to rape me on the price im just looking to either do a muffler delete or install some 40 series flowmasters, and possibly do a resonator delete. Any good local shops that anyone has any experience with?

Call a few muffler shops in you area, and if they want more than $80 for a resonator delete (L99); head through niles canyon over to Fremont Blvd @ Thorton to Guaranteed Mufflers. Talk to Alan

I will defiantly be going through Alan, thanks for the tip, i talked to him for a while today and the prices are good and it really sounds like they know what they are doing and want to keep you happy. I called and stoped by a lot of other shops and they didnt know anything about doing work on the gen 5 and wanted to rape me on the price

gotta bump this for Guarenteed Mufflers in Fremont!!!! just got my exhaust started with them. You were right Alan is an awesome guy. they cut out the old mufflers then grabed a big stack of boxes and slaped on every type of muffler that they thought they could possibly make fit under my car, i got to hear the idle and rev the crap out of each muffler to see what i liked before i decided which one i wanted. Their prices are great as well and they really know what they are doing.

This is good news.

I might have to call Alan for some pricing.

I have the Magnaflow #16580 Competeition Series Cat Back system in a big box staring at me in the office and waiting to be installed.

Magnaflow 16580 now installed!

Went down to see Alan Lamm at Guaranteed Mufflers (510.794.7222) in Fremont this morning and had the system installed. Night and day compared to the stock system. This is how the car should have sounded from Day 1.

Nice deep rumble at idle. First thru third gears sound awesome. Not too loud inside and I have not heard any drone so far. Open it up in 4th gear to WOT and you can really hear this system. It sounds awesome. I'll try to take some vid this weekend and post.

The driver side tip / exhaust piece did not quite fit perfectly when fitted loosely (total of 6 pieces in the system). Alan's crew took the time to take about a 1/2" off the middle tube so the system was totally alligned. Took a little more time, but everything fits perfectly. The 5" tips have clearance all the way around, so as not to melt the plastic.

I give 2 thumbs up to Alan and his crew at Guaranteed Mufflers for exhaust installs (they also install headers as well). Great job guys.

As for the Magnaflow system, I would also recommend it as well. Excellent quality and the sound was exactly what I was looking for in an exhaust system.

Next up, headers and the supercharger!
