Well ive tested about everything except the dana in my car to know for myself and the 9 showed very little loss and I changed gear ratio.The tranny is no doubt hiding big numbers and Im looking forward to Jammies ET, its going to be killer.I think what you will find is about everyone that switches to the 9 inch also lowers there gear which is why it shows a lower dyno number than with the stock diff .If you change the stock gear to say a 3.91 you will see a loss on the dyno even tho its a stock diff. I know the 9 inch has always used more power to turn over say a 12 bolt but these new style rears just don't seem to be very efficient .

Good info, thanks! I did swap to 3.89 gears in my 9 inch.

Not sure yet. It's a very far drive not to mention the fuel cost alone would be ridiculous.
