This sounds like a fun drive. My gf and I were just talking last week about seeing Mt Rushmore and the other tourist stuff in the area, so run this by her. We'd probably drive over with you all and then take our time on the return.

Talked with Christy, and she says that she'd love to go. But, we cannot predict our work/travel schedules out this far... So I think that you should put us down as a yes, but know that we may have to back out later.

We would want to take a couple days for the trip, so stop in Billings or whatever the halfway point is... And again, we'll probably take several days on the return trip, doing some sightseeing.

I think a lot of people will wait til closer to the actual trip to commit but it doesn't hurt to start thinking about it now, does it?

I made reservations, but I'm staying in Deadwood, about 20 minutes away.

I hear that rooms in Sturgis are filling up fast, so if you are thinking of going, you should make your reservations now.

Also heard yesterday that the holiday inn in sturgis is the host hotel and did a special rate for the rally with a block of rooms. Not sure how many but I did get one yesterday.

Hey Tori, I have been watching the Facebook link for the rally. People are posting that they are having trouble getting rooms booked due to rooms going so fast. I have been trying to tell folks that if they are thinking of going, they need to get reservations made. They can always be cancelled. The organizers are hoping for 500 cars this year. The rockie mountain camaro club have 26 confirmed going.

We're having our club meeting this week, I'll remind everyone. I already booked about 16 miles out of town at the Palace Express - cheapest rooms I could find

. One of the guys from my club going has relatives there, he's staying with family.

I am going to make a reservation at the holiday inn in billings. It is about the cheapest in the area and I have stayed there before. They have lots of parking which I like so I don't feel bad if I overlap the line a bit.

Met in snohomish today and talked about sturgis. One car going for sure but not on here yet and two more that said they would like to go but not definite yet. Add one more to your list.
