Hello,

I am thinking of ordering this radio kit for my 2012 Chevy camaro 2LT i'm just not sure if it is a good radio I wabted to know if anyone has tried this radio and if so are there any problems with it... does it mess up the electronics of the car etc... If anyone knows and alternatives to this radio that would be great as well... I'm looking for a touchscreen with the Kit that includes all the controls (door locks AC etc...) and help would be appreciated thanks alot !!! I've never used it...I've never seen it...I know no one that has it.

I wouldn't buy a radio that's branded as Metra. I have no problem with Metra parts (dash kits, harnesses, antenna adapters, etc.) but it's something about a Metra head unit that doesn't sit well with me. I question the quality of such a unit.

If the electronics used in the radio are as reliable as those in the dash adapter, prepare for a light show.

As Ecko mentioned,
I have not seen or heard of the Head Unit being installed or reviewed by anyone. Not sure you are getting any significant value from the deal that you could not get buying the Head Unit and the kit separate (given no one appears to be able to vouch for the good/bad). Do a little web searching for what you want in the Head Unit and add that to the price of a kit (3 to choose from).
The Hunt is half the fun
