speaker popping WITH ground loop isolator?

Hey guys, I recently installed an aftermarket amp (JL 700/5) with the FARK kit, AND used a ground loop isolator, and I'm still getting speaker pops when the radio turns off. I tried with the blacks leads both floating AND grounded, same issue. Any ideas? Anyone have this happen also?

Yeah an isolator wont fix that. You either need a metra trigger or you can hook your remote wire to the cigarette + wire. Only down side is to the cigarette lighter is your key has to be turned for your radio to work. And the amp is always on when the car is on. Neither are really a big deal, just letting you know

Ground loop ISO for speaker popping ????????? So with a jl amp it has a single sens. Switch. The amp will turn on and off with radio vol. if iwere you I would unhook the rem and try it that way if you deside to keep the rem I would use a pac tr-7 for the amp turn on

That's a good idea about unplugging the remote turn on. I'll give that a shot. Although in that case, wouldn't the amp be OFF all of the time?

And I only suggest the ground loop isolator as being the problem because according to ********, they recommend it when there is speaker pop. They say it would completely remove the pop, but in my case with it or without it, no difference.

ISO are used to take out winding sound from speakers they will not stop the amp from making the popping sound when it turns on or off. With the jl amp there is a switch on there for Signal sense witch will turn the amp on and off whit the vol of the radio.

I'm not sure about other series of JL amps, but for my XD there is no "signal-sense" turn-on. The amp only turns on when +12V is applied to the remote input. I tried disconnecting it, and as I suspected, the amp would not turn on, regardless of input volume. So this will not work. Other ideas?
