Okay... Mike, you were right! Thanks Andy!!!!

After much discussion, sleepless nights, getting nothing accomplished at work today, it's official... I changed my 2LT order to a 2SS!!! Bob & I are soooooo happy!!! Well, maybe me more than Bob, but we're in full agreement. He told me "you might be dissappinted in the V6 but you won't be dissappinted in the V8." What a guy!!! So, my order will be getting "sucked into" GM's system any time now..... YeeHaw!!! Thanks to Andy for speaking frank with me about the V6, I think he saw a little "something" in my eye after the ride in his LS7 Camaro on Sat.... He could see I enjoy the thrill of the bad boy V8!!

Just wanted to let you guys know....

SRVFAN - I enjoyed geting acquainted with you two and Lockheed friends at the Camaro5 lunch. You and Bob made a great upgrade decision. If your budget allows I think you will find many more engine and powertrain tweeks available for the V8 over the V6, at least at this time. However, many V6 mods will arrive in the future. IMHO that is the main reason for your change. Any idea what your time of delivery is estimated to be? Your husband, Bob, knew after the ride in the ADM car that you would be questioning a order change. Good Luck

Update.... Apparently GM locks the system down in the afternoon before they pull orders... So, unfortunatley they were unable to make the change to my order. They have also moved me from #11 to #5 in their production cue (that was nice of them), but that means my order for the 2LT can be getting pulled today! So.... Time will tell. If I don't get pulled
for production today, then they will change my order to the 2SS. What will be, will be. So the saga continues....

I might be wrong, but even if your order is accepted today, there might still be time to change it before it reaches 3000 status.

Yea...we talked about that last night at the dealership... we will see what happens. All I can do at this point is wait. I "think" there is a way to change the order once it has been accepted. But not past 3000. We'll see. I KNOW they are trying hard to get me what I want... BUT!!! If it turns out that I get the V6..... that's fine. Bob & I talked about if that's what happens, then when the convertable comes out... we MAY just get one of those, in the 2SS.

I wanted the V8 from day one (2006) ..... but Bob had some very valid points as to why I should get the V6. Gas mileage (I put on 450 -500 miles per week), V6 has PLENTY of power (for me), cheaper on the pocket book, still looks just as cool as the V8, and so on. But as time went on, wondering if I had made the right choice, wondering if I'd regret it later & then after riding with Andy (of course the 400 hp V8 will be NOTHING like the 427 LS7 in his) ... Andy told me after the ride that he KNEW I wouldn't be happy with the V6. He said that I should go drive the V6 before my order went in (but that was impossible) ... so, I trusted his word.

I just thought .... (and Bob supported me fully - he's a great guy!!) ... This is crazy!! Get what you want!! Live life to the fullest! Enjoy it while you've got it! Don't hold back & wish that later you had gotten the V8...just get it! We can afford it, if gas price sky rocket like last year... it's still gonna hurt to put gas in the V6... any car for that matter.

So, that's pretty much it... I called the credit union Monday morning & waited til the afternoon for their return call, basically she said... "Yep... go for it"... so I called my salesman & told him to change the order. He said no problem... but when I stopped by on the way home to sign off on it... he told me of the issue.

I could cancel my order & reorder.... but that would put me back at the end of the wait list & I simply can't go thru all this again!! I'm there, right on the cusp ... so, after Bob & talked and a glass of wine or (was it two?) I said "what will be, will be... if it wasn't meant to be, so be it".

THANKS to all you guys for your kind words.........this is a great bunch of folks!!

I will let you guys know as soon as I know....my salesman said he'd call me as soon as the system opened back up & they could see if I got accepted or not.
