HELP! Noob questions -
Thanks for stopping by to help out - 2010 SS here (as if my name didn't say it already... lol)
I have had my Camaro about a year and to this point have focused mainly on cosmetic stuff inside and outside of the car. I have done the following "performance mods" 1. VMax PTB 2. Pfadt 1.25" lowering springs 3. Flowmaster AT Cat Back Exhaust 4. CAI cold air intake 5. Apex scoop I am next up for headers and a tune, but in the long term I will want to add a supercharger. So here are my questions: 1. With my Flowmaster AT catback system - will that link up directly to 1 7/8" headers (Kooks, Stainless Power etc)? 2. If no above, is it best to do straigh pipes all the way back then? 3. I have read and read, it is sounds like when you go FI, you need to have 2" headers? Is that correct? What is the recommended process here? I am open to removing and selling my American Thunder catback if that would be the issue long term and do some straight pipes. Knowing that I will want to go FI down the line, is it recommended to just buy the correct size headers now? Are there any issues with having larger opening when now FI yet? Forgive me if this is all out of wack. I have read and read, and think I have it, but just want to make sure.

A. Yes, most manufacturers adapt through catted or catless mid pipes to the stock 2.5" catback location.
2. Forget straight pipes, drone would kill you. D. Some do 2" LT's but loss of some low & mid torque may happen NA. If you plan on FI down the road, go ahead. PD blowers rock on midrange torque. I run Kook's stepped 1 3/4 to 1 7/8" LT's on my FI and they are fine across the board on a Solo Mach XL 2.5" catback. Zero drone. I may be losing a few ponies up top but ~650 whp is enough for me.
