Brake job

So I presently have just slightly over 62,000 miles on my 2011 M6 LT. I've had the same stock brake setup since I first drove her off the lot....I recently made an investment for some EBC sport dimpled & slotted rotors, EBC yellow stuff pads (front & rear), & some Goodridge stainless steel brake lines. I will be taking my car to the dealer Monday to have this setup installed.
I am totally looking forward to being able to actually STOP with more authority! That was really one of my main concerns before I purchased my camaro was the "spongy" brake pedal feel. IMO, GM should have put Brembo's on all models instead of just the SS. Not only for performance reasons, but more importantly safety reasons! Let's face it...we drive some wide, heavy cars that carry a great load of momentum at certain times...Having a better braking system IMO would allow the driver to be more confident in making the car stop....now on a dime. Hopefully I'll be able to now. We'll see!

Congrats to you and your new choice of brakes. I totally agree with you regarding the spongy feel of the stock brakes. I hope to change mines out soon.

that spongy feel can be tackled on any brake system. fluid and lines takes away some and getting rid of cheapo backing plates on all these modern day pads

congrats on the upgrade.
