ZL1 TO THE GRAVE YARD !

Saw this 2013 Zl1 with no miles at a local dealership this morning, and was told that GM is sending it to the junk yard to be smashed !! it was wrecked by a employee at the Port Of Baton Rouge (just delivered from GM), while doing burn outs in the parking lot last Friday and lost control hitting a pole !!, and now he sits in jail. The dealership was going to have it delivered on Monday and was pre-ordered !! They are told it's not for sale for any amount and to be destroyed by a junkyard !!, what a waste...
The body shop says it can be repaired, but GM won't let them.

That blows but a question.. what would it be doing at a port? They don't arrive by ship. I am guessing you mean a rail employee or the haulers.

This 2012 ZL1 is NOT going to the junk yard to be smashed.

The ZL-1 in Woodbridge, VA had far more worse damage then this and its making a complete recovery and was damaged by a dealership employee. Do what I did and get the VIN # so we can be kept informed of its status so the future owner will know.

Wonder how the conversation with the family went for the dumbass that wrecked it.

Dumbass: "Yeah, uhh honey! I won't be home for dinner tonight."
MrsDumbass: "WTF? I made meatloaf!"
Dumbass: "Well...I sorta already had meatloaf here at work."
MrsDumbass: "What do you mean?"
Dumbass: "I crashed a brand new ZL1 showing off like my namesake, and now I'm in jail."
MrsDumbass: "Ok cool, I invited your brother over anyway..."

Makes you wonder though how often stuff like this happens but nothing goes wrong and they don't get caught.

A little Bondo, A little duct tape, and clay bar from Adam's, and it'll be good as new.....

That's gotta suck for the person that was waiting on the delivery of that vehicle. Boy, that is upsetting to say the least.....
