2015 ZL1 Car and Driver Review

Good article, interesting how the braking numbers compare to the Z/28 and the Dodge R/T.

Very favorable review - the real upside is that more power can easily be tapped for a relatively low cost. This is somewhat true for other cars as well but the number of tuners and shops with LS expertise seems quite large. I don't see anywhere near this level of aftermarket support for the two domestic competitors nor the imports in this area of the country.

Well i think the superior stopping power of a basic Charger R/T is a bit sad.
Even the Z28 was worse than the Dodge.

I mean, it's only a R/T and the Challenger is no lightweight either.

The Z/28 has carbon ceramic rotors, that surprised me!

Yea thats true, It seems you can get the car up to 650hp for about 2k-3k which is a great price IMO.

Right now I'm very happy with 580hp it seems insanely fast to me. However I'm never against more power lol.

My dad's ordered a hellcat but sadly they cancelled all 2015 orders and gave everyone a voucher for 2016. Once he gets his hellcat I'm sure I'll need to get to 650hp to beat him.

Wait until you drive it, we will need more than 650, that cat is more like 745hp not 707.

Is your dad getting an auto or manual?
