Thanks. Should be crazy in S.D. next week. Bunch of Navy guys checking it out.

Once the SST gets back will have you and T come down for an updated capabilities demo for the platform...and then a good 'ol parking lot burnout with the car.

Bruce,

Where in Florida are you? I'm going to be near Ft Lauderdale in October on business. I'd love to meet up and see the beast if we can work it out.

Hey Russ -

About 2 hours north of Lauderdale. What time in October are you coming. Pony Wars are the around the 7th.

On an unrelated note, NOW the scheduled road tuning is for Wednesday late. The shifter is done. The axles were hitting the upper control arm so we are modding that. Then...HOPEFULLY...DONE... Damn, it has been dragging (and not at the track. :()

Oh well. Off to San Diego.

Roger that. Very large indestructible ones...

They have to modify the upper rear control arm clearance when the car has all of the weight on the rear wheels.

Hey Pete - originally Spohn and BMR were going to make an aftermarket one (upper control arm) but no longer show anything. Is that something Pedders looked at doing ? Is it feasible ?

Thanks.

A company like Chevrolet does a lot of destructive testing with components like arms. They spend more on validating an arm than any aftermarket company could. That is one of the key reasons we work so hard to work withing the constraints of the OE chassis.

When after market companies do bring full arms out they find ways to limit liability. We do the same thing with 90/10 struts and some other components. GMPP is incredibly cautious. Rumor has it that Spohn will have something out in 90 days or so. My guess is that the fab work you and your TEAM are capable of that a modified upper OE arm may be your best choice.

I see they started road tuning. My only question is why were they doing it in Virginia? I thought the SST was good for at least a 6.0 on the Richter scale.
