Rolling start more or less means that they come off the line with very little throttle and then stand on it at a given point so that there is no tire spin. It does not state just how much of a rolling start they had so my guess being that I do race the 1/4 mile is that "if" you can get this beast to hook up from the start you should be in the 11's with no problem.

Pasted below....

Did you know the 2012 Camaro ZL1 coupe...

...When equipped with its six speed automatic transmission can do 0 - 60 MPH in 3.9 seconds

...When equipped with its six speed manual transmission can do a 0 - 60 MPH in 4.0 seconds

...That its top speed with the automatic transmission is 184 MPH

...That it can do a 1/4 mile in 12.1 seconds at 119 MPH with the manual transmission (12.0 with the automatic)

...That its base MSRP is $54,995 which includes $900 DFC, but excludes other fees and taxes such as gas guzzler tax of $1300 for manual transmission models and $2600 for automatic transmission models.

Well, you do now!!!

As part of the first public showing of the 2013 Camaro ZL1 Convertible, Chevrolet is issuing the attached press release detailing the 2012 Camaro ZL1 Coupe's price and some key performance figures.

Following this message is a copy of the dealer message that is timed to be sent on GM GlobalConnect at 9AM, EST. An updated 2012 Camaro ZL1 Salesperson Reference Guide will also be available on GMLaunch.com.

Also, in case you missed it, the regular Camaro coupe (LS, LT and SS) is first the car in the U.S. to achieve NHTSA new 5-star rating for crash testing. The Camaro has done what no other car has done to this point in achieving an overall 5-star score, and a 5-star score for each individual test section. What a story salespeople can point to on the window label of new Camaro produced from this point forward.

Thanks for your continued support.

I'm honestly floored at the price!

I swore it was going to be $58,000k STARTING. Now, with $54 as a start, add 2,500 for GGT 56,600 plus the carbon hood, suede, tax.....sure...60k. So, it's about right. But that is one hell of a deal!

Sure...you try getting all that power down to the ground!

There's only so much power you can put into a car before you can't control it.

This???? This is from the FACTORY!

This is some incredible news...prices like that....power like that??? It's a great time to be an enthusiast.......

Joe....I officially hate you.

I wish I had saved like you. But, Lord knows....it never would have happened. I can't wait for you to get your ZL1!

there are 2 numbers beside the 0-60 and 1/4 mile. the slower time is from a stop the faster time is from a roll.

impressive none the less.

Edit i just relized those numbers are manual vs auto.

$905 more is a breaking point on a $54K car? You're going to be well above $55K out the door

Yeah pretty close to my estimate of $52,995.
I wonder GGT will add to it, then taxs so yeah approaching 60k if you
ad some options to it.
There saying release of the convertible during the summer, I wonder when
they will be rolling into peoples driveways. Before Camaro fest 3 in August?

I think the two times posted are for the two types of transmissions, both
are very close.
