Need advice to fight ticket or night
Well it sucks I was coming back from the Sealy Camaro event here in Texas which was about 2.5 hour drive from where I am. I was about 15 mins from my house and I got nailed by a cop. I was on a highway I've never been before and I had no idea what the speed limit was (it was about 12:30AM and I was the only person on the highway), similar high ways in the area are usually 70mph and sometimes 65 at night. I was going 74 in what apparently was a 60. I've never fought a speeding ticket before so I don't really know if I should do it or not. All I know is that if the cop doesn't show up they'll waive the ticket, but I don't know what else there is that goes into fighting a ticket. If anyone has advice please let me know.

by looking at your avatar... showing 126 MPH, you should just pay the fine. (You deserved it.)
and start driving slower.

You will lose fighting it. If there is no posted speed limit on a hwy in Texas, the speed by law is 55.
Suck it up and take defensive driving. |

Idk I've never gotten a ticket, and I hope to keep that streak alive with my Camaro, kinda why I invested in a radar, Do you have a radar? If not it might be a wise investment if you speed from time to time.

What ever happened to taking responsibility for your actions?
Man up and pay the ticket and learn from the experience

If you haven't had a ticket in the last 12 months, you might be able to get it dismissed by taking an online driver's safety course. www.TexasOnline.com has a list of approved courses. Check with the Court that was listed on your ticket.

man up. You were speeding and "I didn't know what the speed limit was" is an ignorant excuse. Pay your fine and STFD.
