Hey Guys trying to get a big crowd together and really show up with camaros!
I recently purchased a '13 1LE and as you all know the modding bug is alive and ready to go, but before i pull the trigger on any modds i would like to see a few first hand in person. So whats better than a big meet and an 1/8th mile drag racing? nothing!

DATE: May 1st 2015

So for the important details:
Homestead-Miami Speedway holds a monthly test and tune night to keep the kids(i.e. street racers) off the streets and on the track instead.

Here is the info on the event straight off the website:

Time: 6:00pm - Midnight

Weather Permitting: We can’t control the weather, but we can control the schedule. Fast Lane Friday will take place one Friday a month, typically on the first Friday.

Who: From families to car clubs, we have space for everyone!

Just Drag Racing? This isn’t just about drag racing, this is about celebrating cars and their ability to go fast. Fast Lane Friday is the new party at HMS.

Is there an age restriction? Event is open to all ages but you must be at least 18 to race.

Not 18? Don’t worry; Fast Lane Friday isn’t short on entertainment. Bring your car and show it off, who knows whose interest you’ll spark. Spectators are not only welcome, they are encouraged. Get a bird’s eye view from elevated Pit Road cabanas that overlook the 1/8 mile pit road track.

Car Restriction: All vehicles must be street-legal and drivers must have a valid driver’s license.

Admission Fees:
Drivers: $20 to participate (as many runs as possible).
Spectators: $10 in order to watch and enter the facility. Children under 12 are FREE!

Drag Race Timing System: We have a Christmas-tree starting device and a laser timing system which allows for real-time performance results.

Know before you come:
• Cars may not run air conditioning during competition (to avoid A/C water drips)
• Drivers must wear sleeved shirts, PANTS and closed-toe shoes
• Rid trunk of loose items
• Keep windows rolled up
• Seat belts worn at all times
• No passengers in vehicle
• Participants are not allowed to consume alcohol
• Valid vehicle registration/insurance and driver’s license required
• Convertible vehicles require drivers to wear a helmet
• Participating cars sound restriction: 103 d.B. or less

Yes! We have food and beverages available for purchase!

Hey man you should check out our group SoFlo Muscle Cars. We are just a couple of guys who do a bunch of events ranging from going to fast line fridays, to dyno days, to chilling out with like minded people. If you want to check us out we have a instagram and a Facebook. We do have a thread on camaro5 but we aren't as active here. I will leave some links to them on here just so you can check us out. I think one time we had about 8 of us come out to Fast lanes but a lot of guys just couldn't make it that day! So there should be more next time over summer

yeah my buddy Mike just hooked me up with you guys on Instagram and facebook, just trying to get as much exposure as possible. Sometimes the only reason more people dont come is that they didnt know far enough ahead of time or didnt have all the info. I am trying to make sure that there is plenty of time and info for anybody interested. I unfortunately work a ton of hours all around the clock, and have been unable to be at the last two events like the last fast lane and the Furious 7 movie meet. it sucks but it pays for my toys... I know I would be able to make this date and event so i am trying to make sure that is a good turn out and plus i love these cars!

I have a question. How do I join ?? I've looked online and nothing. I think that is something I can go to for May 1st.
