I have decided my next mod will be to order an LFX engine to replace my 2011 engine with 10k mi on it. The 20lb weight reduction and 12 extra HP should be well worth it in my opinion.

How could it be significant if it equates to little or no difference in track performance. It still comes down to a drivers race when matching to the first 2 year models. Its only better on paper or maybe just a stepping stone to something better for next years model. |

All 2010 and 2011 LLT have 312 BHP. GM was in such a hurry to get the 2010's out early they used the 304 BHP numbers from the same engine in the Cadilac CTS to throw around. Once the car was out there the Camaro itself was recertified thru the SAE and the horsepower numbers were adjusted to 312.
The LFX is said to have 323 BHP. 11 more than the LLT. |

LLT currently more mod friendly? LFX too soon to tell, and not sure many AM parts will be supporting it..but who knows.

I understand that max torque is about the same on LFX and LLT, but I believe on the LFX it is several hundred RPMs lower in the band. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

You need to get your facts straight. The 2010 LLT was rated at 305, but not tested at 305. They used the caddy's numbers. They tested the exact same engine in 2011, and it came out to 312. Same exact motor, just a different year. All LLT's make 312hp.

But then again, I guess it won't be a numbers matching, no matter how you toss it out there now.

If it's a stickshift neither one is a good car. If you want a stickshift v6 buy a different car. The sticks are nothing but problems. I have had my car at dealers for over 50 days and still have major issues.

Actually the 2011 model is both nicer and faster than the 2010s and the 2012. Why do I say that?...its simple...I have a 2011.

The LFX should be easier to tune than the LLT since it doesn't have the Bosch ECU.
