How do you deal with your friends when they get new cars?
First off, I love my camaro to death. Couldn't be more happier with it. And when I got it I was proud as hell to show it off to everyone.
So now, my whenever one of my friends gets a car they show me. Friend shows me his new focus... I'm like sweet bro, friend gets an 05gt wants me to drive it I'm like wow this is awesome. A neighbor wanted me to drive his Toyota pickup... I'm like this things got some torque. Overall a lot of these cars are decent, but I find myself lying through my teeth trying to be nice and compliment them. It's like nice Durango bro is it a hemi

Just gotta let it go. They think you have an awesome car so they want your approval of their ride. If you think about it they want their ride to be as cool as yours and if you have to tell a few little white lies to make them feel good about their ride it doesn't matter. Everybody should be happy about their rides!

Camaro is nice, but get a grip. It is not the pinnacle of automotive engineering or design. A nice car, but so are others. Someone gets a new car, you say: nice car. Maybe they actually like their car. If they wanted a Camaro, they would have bought one.

I feel your pain dude, I am a diehard GM guy.. My family is GM, have always had GM cars and I even work for a GM dealer. Sometimes you gotta put that crap a side and tell your friends nice cars/trucks even though we are biased..

It normally shouldn’t be too hard to find something nice to say about most cars/trucks. Just like it isn’t too hard to find something negative to say also. Camaro included.

Every person has different tastes. Some people think the Camaro is the perfect car (like me) and others think a Smart Car is perfect. Every car out there (OK, maybe not the Nissan Leaf) have something good about them. Do what you are doing and say Nice Ride. I really like the headlamps or wheels. Let them be proud and don't dis them at all.

my friend and his fiance just bought a used focus and at first I was being nice and everything until she got on my nerves talking about how her car is better then mine. Just pissed me off and I had a nice response to every comment.

everyone is proud of having something new....they worked hard to get it...and maybe that is all they can afford. Just be supportive...
If they are a multimillionaire and wind up in a Hyundai accent...well I guess they like it and then you can laugh at them.

oh and now they had the balls to ask to borrow my truck to pull the boat at there trailer. I laughed and said "should of thought about that before you bought your awesome car"
