I still don't get what you people expected it to be. You want Z28 hood and bumper, wheels and a custom paint and stripe job for less than $1000. Maybe GM should buy back a bunch of GTO's and make them look like exact replicas of the bumblebee Camaro and sell them for $25,000. This car is marketed at non-enthusiests, the type of people GM needs to convert for life, as well as enthusiests. I think this is a great marketing tactic and I applaud GM for doing more to market this great vehicle to a broad market share.

How about GM offering some glossy black stripes without the transformer name for everyone to order, that would look alot better than the matte finish currently available in black.

I believe these things are going to sell like hot cakes, don't get me wrong. I think we all just expected more. People would pay more for more.

If the stripes matched the Bumblebee and was the "mustard-ish" yellow...I would have been all over this. But the paint doesn't match and stripes suck! Not sold! The embroidered logos is pretty cool though.

FBODFATHER, can you comment on future availability of GM gloss black stripes? Still amazes me they are not offered.

If the stripes were the same length as the bumblebee car in the movie then I could see the value in it.

They are not gloss....they are satin finish.....

Ok ... so just order the wheel center caps and you can buy those transformers emblems online...... a friend of mine bought me one for my car ... even though mine is orange.

I'll admit that it isn't my cup of tea...I'm sure my GT1 vette isn't to everyone's liking either. Will it sell? I'm sure it will. Will it be like the '86 Corvette where EVERY convertible was a pace car? Probably. If you like it for what it is then please buy it. It is an attractive car, but won't be something to buy to collect. As others have said, it will sell and there will probably be quite a few produced.

I'm glad that GM has finally figured out about low-volume special editions of their cars and is starting to turn them out in a more expedient manner. There have been corvettes, firebirds, and camaros over the years that have been limited, but I hope they will transfer this over to other vehicles...GM needs every car they can sell right now.
