That's comforting to know.

All the time. Of course the fact that I'm still in high school, and the only one out of 2000 kids with a 5th gen might have something to do with it. Lol. All my friends want to drive it. All of them get laughed at. I don't mind giving rides though! Especially to the ladies haha. One of my friends has a '13 V6 mustang, and he said he has only had a few people ask him to drive his car. Hahaha Camaro looks are killer

I'd never let a stranger drive my Camaro.
Well unless that stranger was Joe Manganiello.

Never had a stranger ask me, but I've had plenty of my friends ask me to drive it. Unfortunately, the answer is always no. Sorry, folks.

I just barely let my sister drive my Camaro after owning it for almost a year. I still haven't let my best friend drive it. Nobody except my mechanic and me drove my WS6 when I had that car.

Since no one else noticed you started your OP with something about switching your propane tank out, I'll have to ask, "What are your 60' times on LP?"

Never happened to me with my camaro(s). Once someone asked to drive my first car, and I politely declined.

Besides my hubby, I have let my parents, 2 sisters and my favorite cousin drive it. I had to make my little sister (she's only 19) and my cousin (he and I grew up together and used to tear up the roads back in the day so he HAD to). I wanted to share the experience with them because it's not just a Camaro, IT'S A CAMARO!!! Everyone else that ask, I just laugh them off.

It's just a car. If somebody I know asks, I let them drive it but I always ride shotgun so that they don't abuse it. I also make them wait until the engine oil is 200 degrees before they WOT and then only on a long straightaway. I'm proud of what I drive and I want family and friends to enjoy it too.

I haven't let my wife drive it yet.
I will put that off as long as possible. I think it's too much car for her to handle and the more she rides in it, I think the more she is coming to realize I am right. But I told her I might let her drive it with me in the car sometime.... I'll put that off too. lol. Her driving record isn't the best. She has 0 defensive driving skills and I have given up "mentioning" it to her when we drive in her car and she is at the wheel. The woman scares me when she drives us anywhere so these days I just make a real effort to pretend she's doing fine and then go off in a corner when I can and cry like a baby over the three close calls we nearly had going to the grocery store. heh. I've done the defensive driving courses since I was a teenager. Back then my Uncle was a trainer at the police academy and every summer he'd take a few of us kids out to the course and refresh our skills. |
