YAY!!!

Apparently GM just called my dealler asking them which of their V8 should be built first. Apparantly I was #3, but the other two orders are from people that are not in my town so they made the decision to build my V8 first!!!

Still no finalised date but Im sooooooooooooooooo excited!!!!!!!!!!

Im not sure that they are BSing cos the guy I deal with is a pretty straight forward guy. It could be possible that the other 2 cancelled and they wanted to put a positive spin on it.

What ever the case I'll be ecstatic to be the first Camaro SS owner in my town!

Not that it will show cos its gonna be debadged COMPLETELY as soon as it hits my driveway!

That's great news for you but am I missing something here? What's the purpose of being #1 on the list? If 1, 2, and 3 are all V8's it was my understanding that #1 would be submitted by the dealer first but GM would ultimately decided what get's built and when. I'm confused.

As I understand it, the V6's were to be built first and sent to dealers as showroom pieces. Then the quota (ONLY for the preordered allocation) of the V8s in placed orders. So it turns out I will be #1. And as I understand it from speaking to my dealer, the only cars before me were V8s. So hopefully they get to build my V8 before the rest of the V6 allocation of 10.

V6s and V8s will be built side by side 50/50.

Consensus is the 6th however this is Canada and apparently they're basically doing their consensus today.
