Off topic, but this is what my differential sounded like:
I put the car on jacks and put the car in neutral, barely any play in the driveshaft. The sound is the pinion engaging the ring gear but with the driveshaft and bushings, the sound is amplified. My original stock differential had the same amount of play, with the stock driveshaft and its rubber bushings the sound is muffled.

I had some noises with my gears once they got installed. After a couple hundred miles, no more noise
