Lightbulb SHould I get a new ZL1 or a Corvette Z06? Vote for which you think..

I will be selling my SS for various reasons, one of them being to save up some money for a deposit on either a new ZL1 when they are released or a used 2006+ Corvette Z06. Obviously im on a Camaro forum so the opinions may be a bit bias but I would still like to here some honest opinions. While the ZL1 will be brand new the Z06 would most likely be a 2006 or 2007 with approx 15 to 20k miles since I can not afford a brand new Z06. I would be paying anywhere from 42 to 49K for the Z06 while the new ZL1 will most likley be a liitle bit more but will also be new. Here is an example of a Z06 that I would be interested in buying just to give you an idea of what I would be looking at. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-...item2c5db58337

So, which would you get? All opinions and comments are welcome.

You could go faster and handle a lot better for a cheaper price with the Z06. Plus the fact that I am a sucker when it comes to Z06's my dad got a Speedway White one back in 2001 and ever since then I have always love the Z06's

.

I voted for what I want. I love Camaro, so ZL1 is pretty close to my idea of perfection.

You should choose based on what you love.

Vette is a different car, amazing, light, fast. ZL is amazing for what it is too.

I am owner of a 2007 ZO 6 ( purchased new 11/20/06 ) , that car is scary fast .
Car and driver magazine manage 3.4 sec 0-60 mph .

I vote the Zl1 just because I've had a love for camaros ever since I was a little girl, plus I just have never been a fan of the vette

I would own a Z06 if I didn't have little ones. Even though they haven't been in the back seat yet. Just incase I need it.

ZL1. It Just seems more exclusive than a Z06.

I would say ZO6. I own a 05 Vette Z51 and 2011 SS if it came down to picking one over the other I would have to take the Vette. But that's just me.
Love em both.

neither, do a 2008 or newer z06.

i am also going to get a z06 next year and been doing research. the 2006 had some clutch issues and the 2007 models had some bad lifter issues. 2008 has had no known issues. i am getting a 2008 or newer model.

While I voted for the Camaro,it all depends on how deep your love for the Camaro runs. If looked at from a pure performance perspective,it's a no brainer. The Z06 will run away from the ZL1 in any conceivable performance test.

But there's a lot more to a car than just pure speed. If not,we'd all be driving F bodies blown w/meth. You have to take into account which car revs YOUR engine more when you look at it,as well as which is more fun to you and your driving style.

Good luck with whatever you decide, both are fantastic automobiles.
