Amen to that.
I have owned all five generations through my driving career. They have all been my favorite! Especially the two I have now. Definitely forwards!

Thanks Chevy team for listening to the customer. I am happy making my payments to own, what basically amounts to, a concept car. This might not happen again for another 30 years.

Exaclty! How funny, I've been saying 4th gens look like door stops for years, that's why I never bought One. I was even looking for a pic of a door stop to post. Love my 5th gen regardless of it's size.

At 61 years young I never had any interest any camaro. I liked the corvettes, nova ss. mustang fastback and the mach1. But!!!! when I saw the C5 prototype, I was hooked. This C5 is the fastest, best looking and most aggressive I have ever owned or driven. Thank you Chevrolet and Canada.

Great background fbodfather.
At some level I have liked the looks of most generations of Camaro's. I have been lucky enough to have driven all generations as well. I had a 1969 Camaro before getting married in 1993 and always wanted another someday. Then life happened, just out of college, newly married, new job, house, child and the money and luxury just wasn't there for me find another 1969. The prices on those first gen cars skyrockeed and priced me right out of being able to justify replacing it. So here I was 17 years later and GM releases the 5th gen Camaro. I can justify it because it can be my daily driver and the 69 just couldn't. If the 5th Gen had looked like the 4th gen and not like the 1st gen, I honestly wouldn't have considered buying one. My favorite all time is the 1st gen, then 5th, then 2nd (but early years second gens), then 3rd, then 4th. For some reason the 4th gen never appealed to me. It isn't ugly, just not my style I guess. Height, width, length, weight....I could really care less, STYLE, that is why the 5th makes me smile and turns even Ford fan heads. |

I have owned three Camaro's so far, a 1972 Camaro RS, a 1987 Camaro RS (California Special, which I still have) and the one I LOVE MOST my 2010 Camaro 2LT/RS. Of the Camaros that have been made I like the First Gen, Third Gen, and of course the Fifth Gen. For the Second Gen cars I like the first few years, then the bumpers were changed and I really did not like the changes. The Forth Gens I never really liked, to Me they looked like a Geo Storms on STEROIDS.

Not exactly. No Cadillac has been built on the Zeta architecture. Zeta I includes the Holden products (Commodore and Statesman). Zeta II is the Camaro only. But your point remains correct...these are both BIG sedans.

If you add up what it takes to get a car to ride and handle, you get even more mass and $$. If you take just the simple things to make the car "nicer" (express windows, decent sounding stereo, OnStar, trim, sound deadeners..............) you get more mass and $$. There is just no way around it. The 5th Gen is supperior in every attribut over any of it's predecessors. I can't think of an area where it isn't.................................oh except T-tops. And you still can't have those.

I will always own my 4th gen, in my opinion its the best looking Camaro followed by the 2nd gen split bumper and then the 5th gen.
