Thumbs up Borla ATAK (11788) installed with pics. WoW! Video sound don't do it justice!

Hey guys, thought I would post some pics of the Borla ATAK install.

Couple things worth mentioning.
1) I weighed the stock/Boral exhaust and theres actually a 24lb difference.
2) I would post a video clip but I have heard over 20 of them on the internet and none of them sound even close to it with your own ears.
3) I heard of tip alignment issues with other exhausts but there was ZERO issues with this kit and they aligned perfectly. (nice job Borla)
4) Borla is engraved on the end of the tip if anyone was wondering.

I used a sawzaw which zipped through the exhaust in under 20 seconds and the install was very easy like others have said. If your on the fence with what to get (like i was for 2 months) go ahead, plunge for the Boral ATAK, you won't be disappointed.

Good thing Unless someone records the sound using the 30K sony HD Video recorder like they use in movies nothing will come close. It does sound good on video, but IMO its a tease before you hear the real thing.
Oh, LS99. My size 13"s wouldn't fair to well with 3 pedals down there, plus luv the tap shift.

I have the same setup on my L99 and I love the sound. I had to bend the hangars a little on the passenger side to get it to line up in the hole. I just wish the tips pertruded a little more so the 'Borla' could be seen. Otherwise the tips are awesome...their double walled and look great.

Dido for answering that question. btw on the 55mph roads around here I usually manual shift, leave it in 5th gear, cruise set to 63 and achieve 25-27 mpg and it doesn't utilize the AFM (So absolutly no drone), only if i leave it in "D" and it goes into 6th w/cruise on do i notice it a tad. On freeways (unless your doing 80 in a 55) Jferrell88 answered that above.

The Borla ATAK ROCKS!!!
My wife and I love the sound, it's Great in the cabin, this exhaust is truly Acoustically Tuned!!! The Very Aggressive sound that is produced when you step on the throttle is AWESOME!!!
Here's a clip that sounds pretty good but it is MUCH Better in person;

This clip is from the day after the installation, after putting on 4 or 5 hundred miles I beleive that it sounds even Better!
The 1,000,000 mile warranty is pretty Cool!!!

looove mine too!- Picked it up on Friday a video doesn't do it justice by far, but here's mine...

as for drone- the only place that really gets me is holding at 60 in 6th. holding between 75-80 in 6th is absolutely perfect- it calms down for music conversation etc...
the overall sound range is phenomenal-
