Help me with this idea, yay or neh..
Just thinking, have not put a lot of thought into it, but wanted input first.
I was thinking about building a ZL1 specific website forum. ZL1.com was taken years ago. Not to take away from camaro5.com in anyway do yall guys think it could work? If we did decide to do a ZL1 Specific forum, do you guys think we could put enough forums and category types for the site and overall information in general? Anyone up for the idea? I guess a poll would be in order.

I already have a bookmark AND some good friends here.
Don't see what benefit there would be to a duplication of effort.

..and the positives are gaining...
lol.. Its just an idea folks nothing more. I, like most of you can't wait for the ZL1 to hit the streets. I am hoping and praying. Also thinking this might be my last car for a long long while. I know as more and more time goes by we will get more hungary for information on the car even way into the future after the car goes production. The car would be there and the site would be there along with many more camaro sites and camaro5.com just sayin. After awhile the car and the site would be a thing of the past but not anytime real soon.

I think it's a great idea if you have the skills. It would be a great learning experience too. The only down side is that it would take years to grow into a big forum (Camaro5 was started in 2006.). But that's not always a problem.

As a software developer I would say, there is nothing wrong with coming up with a new site. However, many people who want to start a site have a very limited, wide (unfocused) vision on what they're after. Having a nitch market/plan and a vision, is the key and not just another website. I didn't see any firm and concrete plan what you're trying to bring to the table.
I'm just trying to get your focus on track and not bashing the idea! |

I built both of these. Nothing to brag about but they do what they need to do. It dont have to be a big forum. Just a few dedicated members that would chime in every now and again would be enough for me to take on the project. In fact, if we could get at least 10 members on this post to commit to being there every now and again we could probably do it. The only problem I have ever had with doing any kind of site is people registering, making a few initial posts then stop coming back to the site. Happens all the time. It has to be worth someone's while, if not mine but other members to make it even worth it. That is really the only downside at all is not having no one to show up from time to time. If we get enough people in this post interested, it would be easy to do. Thinking of the domain name itself takes more effort than building the forum.

Maybe the other site would have a few of its own (discussions) to keep people hungary for more?
