Owners manual protective cover?

I thought most cars this day and age came with a protective cover to place the owners manual in. Well, GM did not include a protective cover with the owners manual. Short of taking the one from my Silverado, does anyone have a suggestions for how to protect the owners manual, where to buy and aftermarket, etc.?

fabric made of titanium and kevlar.
Or a plastic book sleeve you can get for $0.50 at any bookstore.

In today's age of cost cutting, I haven't had a "protective cover" on a GM manual in the last 4 vehicles. What's worse is the couple I saved from a few years ago are slightly different size so none of my more recent manuals fit in them. Argh... Oh well.

Plastic

If the OM had a cover it would probably be plastic or fake leather ---THEN-- there would be a thread complaining about the plastic or fake leather cover.

Guess I'll have to put the OM in a secure place in my hosue to preserve it.

The last protective cover I got was on my '01 Denali. Never thought about it until now.

Does it come in any case?

My avalanche has a whole zipping cloth case that holds the manual and quick reference cards.

If it doesn't, I'm swiping it from my truck before I trade it in.

I special ordered a black box for mine. If an airplane hits me while driving they will be able to find it.

Last cover I had was on my '03 Envoy.

'07 Malibu...just a plastic ziplock bag.

Gee, maybe we had better ask GM to put these vehicles on hold until we have a manual cover for the book.

Are these CTF, Preorders, Dealer Stock, or Rentals?

Methinks there is a marketing opportunity here.
