Bra for a Black SS 2010 Camaro

On trips I get alot of bugs on my frontal area. Was wondering if anyone has any experience with with a running a bra.

I have read about clear bras etc. and would like some feed back on from someone who has run a bra on a black car and what they thought about it.

Any help would be appreciated!

I have the 3-M clear bra on the Rally Yellow. If you are looking for something to keep the front end looking new you need to get one. My car just made a year old with 6200 miles and I don't have a single chip or nick on the front end. Looks as good today as the day it was bought. The single best thing that I did to my car.

I have a Colgan car bra on my 2010 2LT/RS no issues. Many people will tell you a bra will scratch your car (anything will scratch your car if not cleaned). The key to keeping your car scratch free is clean off the underside of the bra after you use it.

I have been using Colgan car bras on my cars since 1997 and I have never had a problem I have it on my 96 Impala SS, 01 Z/28, 07 Suburban, 09 Malibu, 10 Camaro. What I like about the Colgan car bra over the others is that they are custom made for each car, the underside is very soft (good for the paint) and they fit snug so they do not flap in the wind.

I have Venture on my car. Entire front end wrapped from mirrors forward. It was great looking until I hit a tire at 80mph on the interstate that skipped off my hood, then the next weekend I hit a muffler with about 3 feet of exhaust pipe still connected and made 3 small tears in it. Other than that no one could tell it was there not even from 1 foot away. My installer is excellent and he said hell fix both problems for me for free but I am going to wait until next spring. Id get it if I were you

Here is a pic of it installed

just my 2 cents but i really never liked the look of the clear bras on the cars. maybe i'm picky, maybe i've just never seen it done right, but that thing stands out and looks obvious to me. the extra lines on the front end (the border of the bra) takes away from the appearance up close.

i've had my camaro since august 2009 and don't have any chips. i think, 5 years from now when there are chips all over the place, i'd rather just get it touched up than put a big plastic cover over it from day one

not hating just giving the other side of the POV

agreed, when the time comes to REALLY touch it up and possibly paint the whole bumper, just do it.

also, man was i like when someone brought up a leather bra lol i had one on my monte carlo back in the day but i never used one again it was a love hate relationship. but i must admit that it doesnt look that bad on the 2010 camaro, i would think about using it for a long road trip after a fresh wash, but it would have to come off as soon as i got to my destination lol.

Only thing I've heard about a bra cover is that a foreign object getting inside the cover can scratch it. Also if it get's too dirty the dirt behind the bra may scratch it from the vibration of the car.

To each his own, but the bra cover takes away from the look of the car.

I dont like bras on cars, or women for that matter

I was the same way, thats why I got the entire front end wrapped, not just partial. My edges are even wrapped to the underside of the panels.

I agree- This car is just too good looking to goof up with a bra. Any bug I've ever gotten on my car just washes off with soap and water.

What he said....sorry bro. If my baby gets f'd up in the future and I cant afford to fix...then a bra is an easy fix. Just my opinion
