does it not bother you that the guy on the Adams video said that it would wash off in the rain and would need to be reapplied because it is not oil based? (skip to the 1 min mark)

someone should ask PQ what kind he uses. I bought some tires from him that had a greasy mess on them. They look great but dont touch them or you will have a mess on yourself.

btw... I have used alot of products (not Adams though) and I like the Zaino best... needs 2 coats though. One the day of the wash and another coat the next day after it soaks in... It lasts for at least 2 months of interstate driving and Alabama weather.

I'll say it again...........WOW.

It doesn't bother me that the rain washes off the VRT since I usually detail my car at least every two weeks. If I feel that the tires need a little sprucing up in between it takes less than 5 mins to throw a quick coat on em.

Close up

Gives my tires a deep black shine. Clean your tires before you apply though, if not, the product will sling if you try to overlap it with another product.
This is what i use too, and i love this product...

.

No because then it's not disgustingly greasy. It's the best product out there, and he's not saying one rain and it's gone. Mine still shines after it rains. It's just water soluble so it's easier to clean off during washes, it won't crud up your tires after repeated use.

You have to layer Zaino's tire products? I guess it matches the rest of their product line.

I agree!

But as I stated before in this thread... This subject is way too user specific to have a "best" product.

optimum polymer technologies, makes 2 great tire care products.
one is a wipe on, zero sling, no slime, just looks new and clean.
repells dust.

Water based products are the safest for your rubber and trim... plus if it rains I'll likely be cleaning and dressing everything again so its not an issue. Silicone based products build up, look greasy, and attract dirt... ever notice how people who use heavy silicone products have tires that appear brown in direct sunlight even when they're "CLEAN"?

I have never had a problem with the greasy ones attacting dirt... or maybe I just didn't notice. I only do my tires once a month, and I wash it every weekend... so I think I want to find the magic "PQ grease".... that is if he will give up his secret recipe (i bet its vasiline ).

my favorite is the Armor-All spray foam... it slings like crazy if you dont let it sit..... and doesn't last as long...... but it takes less than 2 minutes to apply it, and there are no dirty rags to clean afterwards.

.... just trying to add an unbiased opinion, I am no tire expert.
