Nope. Nobody has said that at all. But I see many on C5 pontificating about how the Camaro--- any fifth gen--- is "not techniacally a muscle car." Yep, six guns or eight, the position of many is that a fifth gen cannot be legally called a muscle car. I say it can legally, technically, or actually be called an oxcart, a fruit fly, or a bird of paradise if one wants to.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search This 1966 Pontiac GTO is an example of a classic muscle car Muscle car is a term used to refer to a variety of high-performance automobiles.[1] The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines muscle cars as "any of a group of American-made 2-door sports coupes with powerful engines designed for high-performance driving."[2] A large V8 engine is fitted in a 2-door, rear wheel drive, family-style mid-size or full-size car designed for four or more passengers. Sold at an affordable price, muscle cars are intended for mainly street use and occasional drag racing.[3][4][5][6] They are distinct from two-seat sports cars and expensive 2+2 GTs intended for high-speed touring and road racing. Developed simultaneously in their own markets, muscle cars also emerged from manufacturers in Australia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and elsewhere. |

I think it's safe to say there are wide known definitions of muscle, sports and exotic cars. Some individuals just hold them tighter to the real meaning than others.

Muscle car? Sure. Sports car? Sure. Economy car? 30 MPG in V6 form, so sure.
Exotic? Laughable.

I started to read it then realized whatever he said wouldn't matter to me anyway so I just skipped to reading the answers which are always the best part of threads like this! Fbodfather calls the Camaro a Sport Coupe so that's good enough for me.
