Im gonna step up here and call it a drivers race to 100MPH. Haven Driven A C6 ZO6 I will tell you that thing shines bright after 100MPH. Aerodynamics and weight play a HUGE role with that thing after you really get going. The Camaro body style is like pushing a block wall through the air at higher speeds. ZO6 just keeps pulling. 1/4 mile might be alot closer, and I dont autocross so I dont have any comment there.

In a drag race the Z06 will be considerably faster. On a road course I might bet on the Z/28 as the tires are far superior and the brakes seem to be fantastic. The z06 really needs stickier tires more than anything else.

this is silly
the Z07 package Z06 was something like 3 or 4 seconds off of the ZR1 around the ring. Been a few guys who have run high 10s with bone stock Z06s and plenty ran mid 11s or quicker. The Z06 is one killer car but im slightly biased. I just want a back seat so the kids can ride along |

The Z/28 was not desoigned for the 1/4 mile.

No. The Z06 C6 will be faster than the 2014 Z-28. The Z-28 is simply too heavy. It's giving up roughly 500lbs to the 'Vette. Look at the ring times and watch the speeds both cars hit at the ring on the long stretches.

I think the Z06 would win, but the Z28 just looks better doing it, and keeping up. The Z28 is a beast of a car on the track, seeing that big monster run is just beautiful.

At what? "Faster" often gets confused with "quicker".
What form of racing are you thinking: drag, road course, auto-X, or top speed only? What track/configuration? Which model and what year of Z06? Without those variables taken into consideration, the only logical answer is, "Maybe...but not likely..." Top Speed = Z06 1/4-mile = Z06 'Ring = Z06-Z07 Track depends on Z06 tires and course layout. Z07 would be tough to beat... Auto-X depends on Z06 tires. Z07 should handle it (no pun), base may struggle... |

What lowdown said^
If its a Z06/Z07 car then I think in most track situations the Corvette is still gonna come out on top. A regular Z06 depends on the track I think but I wouldnt be shocked if the Z/28 got a few Ws. |

The whole tire thing is funny. Unless the owner of the Z06 is a complete sunday driver, ditching the run-flats is one of the first things done.
I recently put 285/345's around using Pilot Sport Cup's and it handles extremely well. As far as racing is concerned... why compare an apple to a grape fruit? |
