I keep pressing my dealer (salesman and sales manager) on this and continue to get no response from either of them...which is very unnerving to say the least.

I am starting to feel that the R6P code is the whole key to price protection and without it...no protection. Is this the case? If so, I hope the increase is only hundreds (which I could live with) and not thousands...
Problem is R6P may not mean anything anyway.

He may have just sold past his allocation . That just means you'll have to wait till all the prorders are done in june-july. Maybe longer depending on how many are in front of you at your dealer.

There are many dealerships that are doing this. they for example may have only received 2 or 3 for preorders to sell and have sold 17. So be prepared to wait a little. I would just try to make it clear were you are on that list. If you can find that out great, then if you can find out somehow how many they were really allocated then you'll know whats going on. I had one guy tell me I would be first in after the preorders later I came to find he had put 2 guys ahead and would not give me the price he promised.

Dear Mr M

I apologize that I missed you yesterday while I was in a meeting. Thank you for your $1000 deposit. I also received the questions you had regarding your order which I would like to answer. Your order was the 3rd preliminary order placed to be built. Your preliminary order number is NXXXXC. The pricing on your 2010 Chevrolet Camaro is listed below:

MSRP $33,430.00
$395.00 Cyber Gray Metallic Stripe Package (B7W)
$1200.00 RS Package (WRS)
$35,025.00
$499.00 Dealer Service Fee
$289.00 Paint Sealant
$35,813 + TTL

You should ask for something similar...

The 'paint sealant' will not be going on the car....but if they want to gripe about...I will still pay for it....
Whats up with the $499 dealer service fee? Don't get the paint sealant. RPO Z28 said it is a waste of money. Just a gimmick. Intimidation. MSRP is MSRP.

Production for most CGM's don't start until late April. Last week was the first time they were available (190 cars). According to the schedule, that puts them at 4/27-5/3 production.

Assuming that is the case, can we get a price guarantee, and should I get it in writing or trust the dealer? Also, what is event code 420?

CamaroScotty,

Whatever happened to that good news you were going to share with us? Did I miss it? I've been visiting every day but I never heard what the news was. I'm still really curious.
