Jordon, how are you running the 3" ducts to clear the wheels on full lockout? I'm using 2.5" ducts with 10" (offset 35) wheels up front and I barely clear. The ZL1/1LE guys fronts stick out slightly more than mine, but I'm still thinking it's close.

Front Brake Cooling Ducts
Finally had some time to install air inlet ducts at lower grille. Followed intake ducts instruction from bannonm post.

Yeah how obvious is it that you have them. I plan on doing a stealth install so they are as invisible as possible. Maybe an up close through the grill and one a bit further back standing at normal height? Thanks.

3" ducts, driven on street for a few months and had one track day on them. Drove same track in April/May without them on the same pads and tires and brakes held up a lot better this time. Drove one full session full out without any fade or issues (stock pads, rotors....stock car actually plus ducts).
These ducts are a direct run to the rotor hat from the fascia, so the velocity of the air is as good as I can get it. I actually took a leaf blower and had my wife hold it in front of the fascia. The duct was blowing pretty hard, felt like there was no loss in velocity inlet to outlet. Finally, by not using a inlet mounted to knuckle I dont' have to worry about all the other articulation issues due to steering but the air still hits the hat pretty well. Full lock: Full Lock

Brake Duct Kit

Can you pm me with a price for this brake duct kit please. I assume gen5 forum members get a discount. And, did you come up with a kit for the bumper scoops yet? Thanks, John |

I assume that you want to take air from the lower grill. After installing my intake scoop I wonder if an adapter to the scoop can be made. At the very least you have to consider the fact that a great number of us use those scoops.
There also could be something to adapt to the ACS T3 ducts... Just a few thoughts/ideas...
