18" DRs should get you into the 12:50s

How much does the driver weigh? My girlfriend has consistently run my car .1 fast then me because she weighs 100 pounds less it makes a difference also his MPH says he makes more power!!!

Hell if you look at the fast list. na L99 is capable (in the most extreme situation) lol, of 12.22 with bolt ons alone.

Add DR's , gears, and a converter to that, its capable of 11.74 or 11.78.

These are extreme examples, but you get the idea. Your time should be much better

Your MPH is WAY low. I have craptastic 1 3/4" knock off headers and no converter. I am putting in 114 MPH passes. Put on some wheels and see what happens. With a good set of wheels and tires, you'll probably have to adjust the shift points. When you lose the weight in the wheels, it tends to hit the limiter easier.

Losing those huge wheels would help. I'd say your car is running fine, though. When I had full bolt-ons and 3.70 gears, I was running 12.8x @ 109mph...pretty much the same as you. There's room for improvement with better 60' times and better tires.

You sure the 'stang was totally stock? My buddy ran his last month and got around 14 sec. I think he took someone down the track with him, so he had added weight. Also, it was a manual, so he probably needs to work on his shifts.

Hahaha

Didnt use you as an example for this particular thread cause you had the pulley, not that it takes off a tenth by itself but you know haha.

I was also thinking there was a chance of the stang not being completely stock. Intake, or tune, etc that you couldnt really see or hear necesarily. Not that a stock 5.0 isnt capable of those times...

The worst part is once the 5.0 is modded...
Same dyno as the one I use, headers and CAI/tune new 5.0's put down 365whp to my 331whp. they rev higher, so more power is not a surprise, but the torque they make is so close in some spots. Technology...
Believe me, I love my Camaro, but I wasn't so turned off by the 5.0's looks, I'd own one for sure. The new ones are really a step up though. Best looking so far.

Conservative dyno? I put down 376/392 with headers, cai, tune, L99, on a middle of the road dyno.

Yes, Mustang Dyno. L99's are 29X's stock.
Owners shop car does 9.40's n/a with 510whp! It's not that light either. 3260 with him in it.
