Updating the performance threads I visited magnaflow and stumbled on something

magnaflow is making the exhaust for a GM performance package?

we are already aware that Borla makes the GMPP and OEM exhaust. So what could this mean?

I would have to guess just their way of marketing some type of package their making. Might not have anything to do with GM directly. Who knows.

It might just be a Generic performance exhaust package for "GM cars"...I've seen a few companies label their products that way.

what else is included in this package?

I dunno. They don't even have an image up for it, yet...methinks this is brand new (not to state the obvious).

It doesn't look like anything special to me. Seems like a gimmick really and will be a dull fat muffler only 25% smaller than stock. Good eye though.

I can see what you're hinting at. I would really love a GM endorsed Performance Package (i.e., including tune, etc).

I guess all we can do is sit and wait

Although I wouldn't be sure if this was part of it...

Ford offers a performance package that includes exhaust, intake, and tune (I think) for the Mustang. Tune is definitely in there, the other two is where I'm unsure. The nice thing about it is that it doesn't void your warranty at all if installed at an authorized Ford dealer.

I can't imagine that Chevy isn't looking at that very closely, and we'll probably see some sort of similar 'starter kit' available through them.

If yer listening, GM, I WOULD BUY IT.

If you look at the page they put up a dyno chart that shows an 11 hp gain and a 15 lb-ft gain, not thinking this is going to be anything to special just my 2 cents
