If you want it to be loud... I highly recommend doing this. For a loud exhaust its still very tuned and not ricey

It does hang a little lower but we put a plank of wood accross it to see how low it is and it's not very far. I haven't had a problem with speed bumps today.

I fixed the heat shield problem i was talking about and yes the muffler is closer with hardly any clearance BUT ZERO rattling... Downshifts, hard acceleration we tried to make it rattle and heard nothing.

Also, i was talking about it maybe being too loud for me but it's actually very nice. It has a mellow rumble from the inside but not too bad.

That sounds really good man, nice job!

If you are gonna do this I highly recommend getting some type of insulation material to wrap around the muffler... I'm gonna try doing this cause its very loud inside the car. I think the 10 series is a good idea. Itll sound good no matter what.

I think 44's will definitely sound good. Its hard to mess up an exhaust when the muffler is that far from the tips... It won't sound raspy at all... I chose 40's cause i heard they get better airflow

what is the size of the stock piping? is it 2" or 2.25" I think mostly the problem with those 44's and 40's was the rasp, but yours dont seem to have none. How is it with rasp when you really rev her up there?

It gets some high pitch but i wouldn't call it rasp... its a very tuned high pitch sound with bass(This is at like 4,500-5,500 rpm). I hate the raspy noise of a V6. Thats why i put the muffler so far back, i wanted to eliminate every possibility for it to be raspy. It's almost exactly in the middle of the cat and the tips. I would have liked it a littler closer to the tips but i didn't have enough room anywhere else.

I forget now but while we were looking under the car we noticed it had 2.25" in some spots and 2.5" in other's. I think its 2.5" until either the cats or the H-pipe than it has 2.25 throughout the rest.

Oh the video you guys are watching was also taken the day after we finished installing it. It was driven maybe 5 miles. It sound much deeper now. It's very impressive for a V6. Accelerating normally it will gargle between gears when shifting at 2,500rpm and up. I usually never engine break but now i can't stop cause it sounds so cool.

I took more video's but they are in a parking lot at work. I'm trying to find time to go to an open road and really push it.

"This is a good location because its not to close to the tips which helps keep down the raspy sound of the V6 at high RPM's"

I'm not doubting you but is this a true fact in every install? I'm just curious because if this is true, I may look into relocating my mufflers or going with a set up like this. Anyones feedback is appreciated!

Definitely true. It makes a huge difference. I didn't expect it to make this much of a difference. You might want to try to locate it as close to the tips as possible in this area under the car. If you go too close to the H pipe it will resonate straight up into the center console. Won't hurt anything just give you a headache.
